A few places to start
- Texas Forestry Museum: The museum tells the story of Texas forests and the people who worked in them. Its calendar includes family activities at 1905 Atkinson Drive, including Box Fort Day and a seasonal Halloween Trail.
- Ellen Trout Zoo: The zoo's official site has tickets, hours, a map, and its events calendar. The address is 402 Zoo Circle. Check the zoo and railroad schedules separately when planning a visit.
- The Pines Theater and Angelina Arts Alliance: Look for downtown movies, music, comedy, and other performances. The Pines is at 113 S. First Street; the Alliance also presents shows at Temple Theater, so check which venue your ticket names.
