Come for a show, a walk through the garden, or an afternoon outside. Tyler has a few different ways to fill a day, and you don't have to fit them all into one visit.
What's happening
Start with Tyler events on East Texan. We're gathering dates from the tourism calendar and local organizers, including Liberty Hall and the UT Tyler Cowan Center. Check the linked organizer before leaving home, especially for tickets and individual performances during a longer theater run.
The Visit Tyler calendar also includes nearby towns. A Tyler listing doesn't always mean the venue is inside town, so take a look at the address.
A few places to start
- Tyler Rose Garden: The city garden has free admission and 14 acres to explore. The city's page says April and October are usually the peak rose months, depending on the weather. The museum has separate admission and hours.
- Liberty Hall: Movies, live music, and comedy at 103 E. Erwin Street downtown. Its visitor information can help with parking and planning an evening.
- UT Tyler Cowan Center: The campus calendar includes touring theater, concerts, dance, and family performances. Choose the individual show page for tickets and details.
- Tyler State Park: A nearby option for hiking, camping, swimming, or time by the lake. Texas Parks and Wildlife recommends booking day-use passes ahead because the park can reach capacity. Check its alerts before you head out.
